The Great Mudcat Hunt
Celebrating 50 years of the Dunnville Mudcat Festival
Get ready to explore Dunnville like never before.
To celebrate 50 years of Mudcat memories, we’re hiding 50 Muddy signs throughout town — in parks, storefronts, public spaces, community locations, and sponsor businesses. Some are easy to spot. Some are tricky. Some are tiny. Some are impossible to miss.

Prize Information
Grand Prize
The first verified participant to correctly locate all 50 Muddy signs will win the Grand Prize.
Additional Prize Draws
Participants who find at least 10 signs will be entered into additional prize draws during Mudcat Festival weekend.
Dozens of prizes have been donated by local businesses and community supporters.
Accessibility Participation Option
We want everyone to feel welcome to participate in The Great “Find Muddy” Scavenger Hunt.
Signs marked with a ★ STAR on the official sign list are considered accessible locations and can be reached without navigating areas that may present accessibility barriers.
We recognize that not all areas of Dunnville currently offer the same level of accessibility, and part of this initiative is also to help bring awareness to that reality while still creating an inclusive experience for all participants. NOTE: Some signs we have marked as accessible, but may be 5 ft off the path and will require taking a photo and enlarging to record the numbers.
Because of this, we have created a special Accessibility Prize Category.
How It Works
Participants may choose to complete only the ★ STAR Accessible Signs Hunt.
- The first registered participant to correctly find all accessible ★ STAR signs will win a dedicated Accessibility Prize.
- Participants in the Accessibility Category will also be entered into the regular scavenger hunt prize draws.
- A minimum number of accessible signs may still qualify participants for additional random prize draws.
Important Notes
- Accessible signs will be clearly marked on the official sign list and entry form.
- Participants may choose to play either:
- The full 50-sign hunt
- The Accessible Signs Hunt
- Families, support workers, caregivers, and teams are welcome to participate together.
Our goal is to make this celebration as welcoming and community-focused as possible while continuing to encourage conversations around accessibility and inclusion within our community.
