Get ready for one of the most fun, high-energy events of the 2026 Dunnville Mudcat Festival — the Bed Races: Race for a Cause.
Teams will go head-to-head, racing decorated beds down the course in a fast-paced, crowd-cheering competition that’s as entertaining to watch as it is to take part in.
But this isn’t just about speed — it’s about purpose.
Race for a Cause
Each team races on behalf of a charity, organization, or cause that matters to them.
The winning team will take home bragging rights and a $500 donation awarded to their chosen cause.
It’s your chance to rally a team, represent something meaningful, and make a real impact while being part of one of the most talked-about events of the weekend.
How It Works
- Teams “own” their bed — just like a race car
- Decorate your bed to stand out and show your spirit
- Recruit your runners (and your rider!)
- Compete in a series of heats leading to the finals
- Fastest team takes the win — and the donation for their cause

Fundraise & Build Momentum
Each team will have the opportunity to collect donations and support for their cause leading up to race day.
We’ll be sharing teams, stories, and causes throughout the festival build-up — giving your team visibility while helping you raise awareness and support.
